KIDsafe Virginia Mailbox

Picture of Drug Free School Zone SignWelcome to the KIDsafe Virginia Mailbox! On November 21, 2002, Governor Mark Warner unveiled the KIDsafe Virginia initiative. As a component of this initiative, students, parents, educators, public safety professionals, and all other citizens of the Commonwealth may use this online suggestion box to recommend strategies for enhancing the safety and security of youth in schools and communities throughout Virginia.

NOTE: This is an online safety suggestion mailbox. If you have information that involves a threat to you or someone else in your school, we urge you to contact your local law enforcement agency by dialing 911!!

For students only: Using the toll-free, Make- the- Call hotline number, students can anonymously report conditions that they believe could threaten the safety and security of their schools and communities.

Call 1-866-SAFE-VA-1

All information reported through the Make-the-Call hotline and the KIDsafe Virginia Mailbox goes directly to a 24-hour operations center at the Virginia State Police headquarters.
